Why Genealogy?
I was born 1959 in Vienna where I live with my family.
My professional background is in traditional typesetting. During my training I had to learn the old German handwritings (Kurrent, Sütterlin). This knowledge is coming in handy in my occupation.
Since 1988 I have been working as self-employed in the graphic industry.
In 1995 I started to conduct genealogical research for my family and circle of acquaintances. Since then, my enthusiasm for genealogy has grown steadily. Sometimes, I feel it is like an addiction. I am always looking to further unearth more data and information. And when I hit a wall…well, it is one more reason to step up my efforts.
In 2014, I decided to make my knowledge and experience available to amateur and professional genealogists and started my career as a Professional Genealogist.
By the way, my ancestors mainly come from Lower Austria, Burgenland (formerly located in Hungary), Moravia, Bohemia, Silesia, and Bavaria.
